Long time, no blog!

Long time, no blog!

Recently in Evanescence news, they've started to sell tickets to promote their Canadian tour. They'll be stopping in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal just to name a few. Also, presale tickets are available on EvClub.com. Get your tickets soon, and maybe i'll see some of you there at the Toronto show.

Also, the new Lithium video has been shot, and it includes two Amy's (one on black, one in white) and will have Amy underwater (again!). The new video has no official release date yet, but the vid is rumored to be released by the end of the month.

Ev in Mexico and EvTreads.com

On October 19, all you lucky Mexican fans get to see Evanescence perform live on Los Premois MTV! If you are in the Mexico City area, you can actually go and see them there, or you can just watch. For more info, go to http://www.mtv.com/ontv/losPremios/2006/#/ontv/losPremios/2006/index.jhtml?page=6

In other news, EvTheards.com has recently opened, and this is the official forum of Evanescence. The band will actually come on the forums and anwser your questions (EvBoard anyone?). It is a great oppurtunity for those who can't afford Evboard, and its pretty fun! Look out for me, I'm "broken paradise"!

Evboard seems to be handling it pretty well, but ToB seemed hurt and had this to say (and i qoute) "Proof positive that Amy was never loyal to you fans here at EvBoard, and is only out for herself. Enjoy your ego boost site, Amy!" Also, people on Evboard were saying that there's no use in EvThreads.com considering there's EvBoard. But, contrairy to that, not everyone can afford EvBoard. We'll see how this story unfolds.

Tour News and TOD on the Charts!

Last night, Ev played another sold out show in their tour. The set list changed a bit (some on Evboard.com were complaining that they didn't play Snow White Queen like they had played in earlier shows) but no one was disappointed. If you go to www.evanescence.com you can read an official review from someone who was at the show!

Also, The Open Door is doing fairly well in the charts. It's in the top three in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK, and with such high chart numbers the album should be selling. But nonetheless, If you haven't bought the album yet, do so NOW!

Tour News and Amy Lee on MTV Overdrive!

Last night Evanescence played their third show on the first leg of their tour in Boston! The setlist was different from the Montreal set list. The next show for Ev is on the 9th and Evanescence News Blog is sure to have Pictures from that show too!

On another note, there is speculation on EvBoard that there might be a special "Secret Halloween Show" in California. The show is NOT confirmed as of yet, but wouldn't it be a treat if it was?

Also, if you head on over to mtv.com, you can find an exclusive interview with Amy Lee about the tour and the new album on MTV Overdrive. Enjoy!

Welcome Evanescence News Blog!

Long story short, Evanescence was formed by Amy Lee and Ben Moody at a summer camp in Arkansas. They made two small, limited released EP's (Evanescence EP and Sound Asleep EP aka Whisper EP) and one LP (limited 2500 copies ever made) called Origin. They were then discovered by Wind Up Records in 2001, and released their debut album Fallen in March 2003. Fallen went on to sell 14 million copies worldwide and become 6x Platinum in the US alone. While headlining a major tour to support the album, co-founder Ben Moody left the band in Germany for good. Since then, Evanescence has been striving to complete The Open Door which was released October 3, 2006. That brings us to the present day...
